60 Minute Microlight Lesson

What does the course include? The lesson begins with a thorough briefing on all aspects of microlight flying from your instructor. You will then take to the air for this fantastic experience. You can either sit back and enjoy the ride or you may be able take the controls for a more ‘hands-on’ experience depending on the location you choose and the weather conditions on the day. Where does the experience take place? Cheshire Hampshire East LothianNorthampton Kent & Leicestershire. What do I wear? It is advisable to wear clothing suitablefor the time of year. Winter can be an excellent season for flying on those clear crisp sunny days. How long should I allow for the experience? You should allow approximately one and a half hours for the whole experience. When does the activity take place? Most centres fly throughout the year both midweek & weekends. We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability. Are there any restrictions? The minimum age for microlighting is 10 with written parental consent between 10-17. Maximum weight limit 15 stone. You must not suffer from Epilepsy Fits or Blackouts. Please contact eXhilaration if you have any questions. How about the weather? As with many air sports Microlighting is affected by the weather but to a lesser extent than most. Moderate winds and a minimum cloud base of 1000 feet are required for you experience. Please telephone the centre before starting out to check on the weather conditions. Should the weather prevent you from flying on the day of your experience an alternative time will be made available. Can I bring Spectators? Spectators are welcome. What else do I need to know? Please telephone the centre on the morning of your flight to check on the weather conditions. Please be aware that your flight can take place in either an open cockpit or closed cockpit (type of aircraft is subject to availability and may vary depending on location). Your voucher is valid for nine months from the date of issue. Personal accident & cancellation insurance are included. Kindly note that each centre has their own cancellation policy and fees. Some centres may not allow a booking to be cancelled or changed once it has been made. Please call us for further details.
